This is a phenomenal piece of software. Good work!

As a student i started to put together a wiki to help document the emerging field of decentralized/distributed social networks:

http://wiki.umuse.org/Initial_Notes

To date the wiki has been used solely and simply by me as a place to list sites and projects that are contributing to this effort, but something there might be of interest to those involved with noserub.

Right now, we have no privacy settings, so this scenario is just hypothetical.

But you also just pointed the thing that needs to be addressed. Right now, we're looking into OAuth for this to see if the authentication between the two servers can be done.

We talked a little about this issue on SGFoo Camp and right now, there is no solution for this in NoseRub.

Google's Social Graph API offers a field for an OpenID delegate in their responses - if available for the requested URL. This would be the perfect combination: Microformats + OpenID/OAuth.

I'm following the DiSo project to see where you are heading for the inter-server authentication. NoseRub itself right now is not only OpenID provider, but also consumer, so it would possible to authenticate yourself.

But as I said: there is no such thing implemented right now, but I would really like to be compatible with the DiSo project and I guess we're heading to similar solutions.

    Sorry for answering so late!

I installed Noserub on my dev server and the registration worked fine on:
--------------------------
Apache/1.3.37 (Unix)
PHP Version 5.2.3
MySQL: 4.1.22
--------------------------

While on my laptop the reistration doesn't work on:
--------------------------
Windows XP
Apache/2.0.59 (Win32)
SVN/1.4.4 DAV/2
PHP Version 5.1.6
MySQL 5.0.22
--------------------------

Keep up the brilliant work!
Can you be more specific? We use a $saveable array on save(), so that shouldn't be a problem at all.

    Great job guys!

But even in this release I fail to register into the installed application!

During the registration few fields are asked, while in the identities DB table you have several fields not requested during registration that are set to NOT NULL.
